Behind the Photo
I am drawn to photos that show who a person is, photos that show their personal brand. This photo of Marcy is one of my favorites because it shows her personal style, how that style extends to her home (Love that green couch!), and one of her passions: animals.
I wanted a really tight close up of these two to show off their friendship for Instagram so after snapping the image, I cropped it to vertical orientation, sized 8 x 10.
Takeaway Tip
Vertically orientated photos get more space on IG feed than horizontal ones and the biggest vertical size allowed is the 8 x 10 (4 x 5). You want your photos to be seen! This is especially important if you are posting for a business. Don’t let your audience scroll on by. Check out the difference for yourself.
